"In the Summer of 2010, I had what I thought was a pretty ordinary life. I dealt with the growing pains of my family, and the pressures of running a small business, but overall I had a good life and I was happy. Unbeknownst to me, was that my life was about to be changed forever. On a beautiful September day, while on a kayaking trip, I was sucked into a pipe under a bridge, and held under water until I lost consciousness. This was only the beginning of my Near Death story. As a Near Death Experiencer, it has taken years to integrate the experience into my life, and the process is not over yet. After my NDE, my view of life and the truth was turned upside down. I came into a new reality of things, and it has taken time to reconcile my beliefs and actions to these new truths. As I have sorted these things out, more has been continuously revealed to me. There is never a ending of growth and the continuous stream of new understandings. My growth has been confusing, disturbing and then rewarding, and given me peace. Over the last seven years, I’ve been an active member of the Central Texas International Association for Near Death Studies (IANDS). I was one of the organizers of the “Wisdom of the Near Death Experience,” symposium. I’ve been fortunate enough to speak at the IANDS national convention, and for the last seven years, I’ve been a regular lecturer at Texas State University. My passion in sharing my NDE story, is to inspire and motivate people to serve others, and actively love others, and to search for and know God."
